PROMOTION DESCRIPTION: The Advent Windows 2021 (“Competition”) begins on 1^st December 2021 and ends on 25^th December 2021 (the “Competition Period”). Promotion and eligibility to enter the Competition (the “Promotion Period”) begins on 26^th October 2021 and ends on 30^th November 2021.

The sponsor of this Competition is The Upper Usk Valley Group (‘Sponsor’). By participating in the Competition, each Entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor is responsible for the collection, submission or processing of Entries and the overall administration of the Competition. Entrants should look solely to Sponsor with any questions, comments or problems related to the Competition. Sponsor may be reached by email at maryuuvg@gmail.com during the Promotion Period.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of The Upper Usk Valley, including Crai, Defynnog, Heol Senni, Sennybridge and Trecastle, who are 18 and over (the ‘Entrant’). Upper Usk Valley Group (UUVG) Officers are ineligible to win a prize but may participate in displaying an Advent Window. Household members of UUVG Officers are also not eligible to win a prize. ‘Household Members’ shall mean those people who share the same residence at least three months a year. ‘Immediate Family Members’ shall mean parents, step-parents, legal guardians, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. A maximum of one entry per address is permitted. This Competition is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

HOW TO ENTER: Enter the Competition during the Promotion Period online by visiting the entry form, which can be found on the following website at https://upperuskvalley.co.uk. Internet entry must be made by the Entrant. Any attempt by Entrant to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins or any other methods, including, but not limited to, commercial contest/sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering services, will void Entrant’s Entries and that Entrant may be disqualified. Final eligibility for the award of any prize is subject to eligibility verification as set forth below. All Entries must be posted by the end of the Promotion Period in order to participate. Sponsor’s database clock will be the official timekeeper for this Competition.

WINNER SELECTION: The Winner of the Competition will be selected by UUVG Officers at the end of the Competition Period once all Advent Windows have been displayed. The Competition Winner will be confirmed by the UUVG Officers within 30 calendar days after the end of the Competition Period.

WINNER NOTIFICATION: The Winner will be notified by email at the email address provided in the Entry Information within 40 days after the end of the Competition Period. The Winner must respond to the email notification within 14 days after the email notification has been sent to confirm acceptance of the prize. The Sponsor is not responsible for any delay or failure to receive notification for any reason, including inactive email account(s), technical difficulties associated therewith, or the Winner’s failure to adequately monitor any email account.

Any winner notification not responded to or returned as undeliverable may result in prize forfeiture. The potential prize winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability, and a Publicity Release (collectively ‘the Prize Claim Documents’). No substitution or transfer of a prize is permitted except by Sponsor.

WINNER PROMOTION: You agree that if you are a Winner a photograph of your advent window together with your name may be used on the UUVG FaceBook page and UUVG website to announce the Winner and promote the competition without any fee being payable to you as the Winner.

PRIVACY: Any personal information supplied by you will be subject to the privacy policy of the Sponsor posted on the Sponsor’s website. By entering the Competition, you grant Sponsor permission to share your email address and any other personally identifiable information.

LIMITATION of LIABILITY: By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless The Upper Usk Valley Group and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the Competition and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.

DISPUTES: This Competition IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF UK, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Competition, participant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Competition, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Powys, Wales, UK having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees. Participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

PROMOTION AND COMPETITION TERMINATION: The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend the Promotion and/or Competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.

EXPENSES: Entrants are responsible for any and all expenses that they incur in entering and/or winning the competition. Entrants will not be reimbursed regardless of whether or not they are a Winner.

WINNER LIST: To obtain a copy of the Winner List, send your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to The Upper Usk Valley Group cc: Advent Windows 2021 at 2 Glanyrafon Cottage, Defynnog, Brecon LD3 8SG. Requests for the names of the winners must be received no later than 30 days after the Promotion Period has ended.
